Friday 16th of October 2009 | Posted by Dave Taylor In My Place, Condemned He Stood This past Sunday Pete Greasley, my close friend and Sovereign Grace oversight for all things Australia, gave a message at Christchurch entitled "In my place condemned He stood". Folks, if you want to be overwhelmed by the height, depth, length and breadth of the love of God then I'd so encourage you to take a listen. (The video is at the end of this post, just click on the play button, or you can download it from the Christchurch website, here.)
I was humbled and overwhelmed as I heard afresh about what Jesus has achieved in my place. Following on from this message all five hundred plus of us sang 'Crown Him with Many Crowns', followed by 'How Marvellous'. It was a real taste of a place still to come, 'Home', and a memory that will live with me for a long time. Not a single person present wanted this service to finish... A very special time.
