A Memorable Weekend
This was a weekend that we'd all been looking forward to for a very long time. After months and years of planning, the Sovereign Grace Church planting team finally came together in Sydney, and what a weekend it was! The joy, excitement and pleasure in the Lord that we experienced that weekend will no doubt live with us for the rest of our lives.
On Friday we gathered at the Wilsys. We kicked off with Psalm 121 and reviewed how the Lord of all grace really has 'kept' us safe thus far. It was pure joy to hear afresh the story of how the Lord has been drawing us all together. Mike Pasalich, Patrick Chavez and Mark Williams opened up the night giving us the early years longings from 2002. We then heard from many others as each one shared of their stories to this point...
It was a rich night of delighting in the faithfulness of God as we saw time and time again His ever present fingerprints of grace. What a faithful, kind and gracious God we serve!
On the Sunday we then gathered at the Malones, and enjoyed our first team Sunday together, with singing, preaching, prayer and fellowship. Prior to the launch of Sovereign Grace Church in September, we will be meeting like this every Sunday, and what a rich time it was...
How kind of the Lord to give us memories like this one, and how kind that next week, we get to do it all over again. Soli deo gloria!
