SUNDAY MORNINGS
Our lives have been changed by the gospel of Jesus Christ and in having an opportunity to express our heartfelt gratitude and love for the Saviour on a Sunday morning, we consider this gathering the best time of the week.
WHAT TO EXPECT?
We'd absolutely love to have you join us on any Sunday. The doors are always open to visitors, and once you arrive, here's what you'll find:
- A diverse and international church. You'll see people of all ages, nations, cultures, and backgrounds. But the gospel
of Jesus Christ makes us all one family.
- Friendly people. We'd love to meet you and make you feel at home with us.
- A relaxed atmosphere. You'll notice some folks who like to dress up for church and others who don't. Feel free to
wear whatever's comfortable for you, and you'll fit right in.
- Passionate worshipers. Our meetings include contemporary music and preaching from the Bible.
FOR OUR GUESTS
Coming into a new church can be daunting, and so to make it as easy as possible here are some practical things you'll want to know:
Once you've parked up in or around Normanhurst Boy's High School (click here for directions) there will be someone to greet you at the main door entrance. They'll be on hand to direct you to the right place and to take any early practical questions you may have. They'll be keen to make your time with us as enjoyable as possible and so please just ask them if there's anything we can help you with.
At 10.00am the bookshop then opens, as does our guest reception area. Pick up a tea or coffee, browse the books, or meet new friends over a biscuit or two. We have a hospitality team that will be only too glad to look after you before the meeting - enjoy!
At 10.30am the service itself begins. After a greeting and outline of the morning, we then enjoy around 30-35 minutes of contemporary worship together, through song and prayer. After the notices and the offering (which we ask our visitors not to participate in, you're our guests after all), we then enjoy some expository preaching together as we're encouraged, refreshed and provoked by God's Word. This usually lasts for around 40 minutes and invariably, whatever the topic, has the glorious gospel in view.
Right after the service, our bookshop and guest reception area then re-opens. Our pastor along with many of our small group leaders will be on hand at this time to take any questions and to say hello. There will also be copious amounts of coffee and tea on tap which are there for you to enjoy. There's certainly no need to rush off once the service has concluded, no one else does.
WHAT ABOUT THE CHILDREN?
Without question, we also want them to have a great time with us! Our 'Generations' work provides care and instruction for newborns through to sixth grade. So just check them in and we'll take care of the rest. For more information click here.
